1. What MediWall is

MediWall helps you organise your own health information — medications, appointments, conditions, labs, symptoms, and mental-health entries — in one private place on your device. It can connect to your healthcare provider's EHR via SMART on FHIR when you choose to.

2. What MediWall is not

• Not a medical device.
• Not a diagnostic or clinical decision tool.
• Not a way to message your care team.
• Not a pharmacy or prescription service.
• Not a substitute for emergency services. If you are in crisis, call your local emergency number (911 in the U.S. and Canada).

3. Your account, your device

MediWall has no user accounts. Your data is tied to your device. If you lose the device and have not enabled encrypted iCloud backup, your records cannot be recovered. This is a deliberate consequence of the privacy-first design.

• Keep your device locked with a passcode.
• Keep iOS up to date so the app's cryptography stays current.
• Consider enabling MediWall's biometric lock for an extra layer in Settings.

4. Verifying what you see

What you see in MediWall reflects what you have entered or what your EHR has released to your device. Always confirm medications, dosages, and clinical information directly with your provider. Display errors, EHR delivery gaps, or stale data are possible.

5. EHR connections

When you connect Epic, Cerner, or another EHR through Connections, you authorise that EHR to release your records to MediWall on your device. The release is governed by the EHR's terms, not by MediWall. MediWall does not act on your behalf with the EHR beyond what you initiate in the app.

6. Records you manage for others

Care Circle lets you keep a separate profile for someone you care for. By creating one, you confirm you have the authority to hold and manage that person's health information (for example, as a parent, guardian, or through the EHR's own proxy-access process). Their records live on your device under the same encryption and controls as your own, and connecting their EHR uses that EHR's authorization — MediWall never verifies caregiving relationships itself. You are responsible for data you enter or import on someone else's behalf, and for deleting it if your caregiving role ends.

7. Limitation of liability

MediWall is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. Within the limits permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for clinical decisions made on the basis of data displayed in the app. You remain responsible for your own care decisions and for verifying clinical information with a qualified professional.

8. Termination

You can stop using MediWall at any time. Settings → Your Data Controls → Delete all local data wipes your records, your consents, and the database encryption key. Uninstalling the app removes the database from the device.

9. Governing law

• Canadian users: the laws of the Province of Ontario.
• U.S. users: the laws of the State of Delaware.

Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your jurisdiction are not waived by these terms.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be presented in-app with a confirmation step before you continue to use the updated version. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the version currently in force.
